Legend has it that about 200 years ago, to save the daughter of the village’s chief from a powerful Diwan of the village all the villagers fled one dark night and cursed that no one will ever be able to stay here for longer. To date, no one knows where they went and no one has witnessed their flee. It is believed that the curse of those villagers still remains and is considered a haunted village.
